This book is about the status Canada’s Educational Diplomacy, and Canada’s lack of coherent education diplomacy. It looks at education governance in Canada from 1800-1984 and the many organizations involved that effect it. It deals with the rise of educational diplomacy in the Province of Ontario and considers the unique challenges presented by Quebec’s involvement. It considers the international pressures impacting Canada and the development of education diplomacy and the significant international changes and the effect on Canadian education and diplomacy were the global transformations associated with the Vietnam War and its economic aftermath. It details the challenges with the Federal government over a wide range of issues.
